Steve Bannon Believes in Cryptocurrency

Donald Trump recently came out against Bitcoin on Twitter:

Many in the cryptospace (including myself) believe that was a tweet totally spun up by legislators & lobbyists fighting the inevitable destruction of the U.S. dollar. Now the man who may have been more responsible than anyone else for getting Trump elected is in direct opposition with the President on the issue of cryptocurrency.

Steve Bannon, the gruff man who seemed to have all the answers and a huge influence on media during the Trump campaign has made some positive statements about cryptocurrency. Steve Bannon says that he expects governments across the world to try to stick with fiat currency. He also believes that crypto could be a way to fight against the global populist movement.

Bannon said:

Cryptocurrencies have a big future. They could be a very important part going forward, particularly in this global populist revolt.

You may not agree with his politics, but he makes some great points. Now if he could just get a haircut and a good shave.
