Much like Doge, Shiba Inu is a meme cryptocurrency that features a dog as its mascot. In this case, Shiba Inu is based on a Japanese dog known as a Shiba Inu. But that dog has a whole lot of bite having soared an astronomical percentage of 115,710,427.4% according to Coingecko at the time of this report. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, that percentage is more than 115 million.

A few top companies that have begun accepting Shiba Inu, include as per Cryptwerk:

  • Rock’N’Block
  • CoinHost
  • NOWPayments
  • Travala
  • Huobi
  • StealthEx
  • Okex

But it’s not only crypto companies that are beginning to accept Shia Inu as a payment method for various services including over 100+ internet, offline, and business services. Just this week Le Bistrot d’Eleonore et Maxence, a restaurant in Paris, France joined the growing list of mainstream businesses that are starting to accept Shiba Inu, Cointelegraph reported.

Sniba has a long way to go for mass adoption. However, even AMC Entertainment is asking the crypto community whether his company should accept Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment method. The CEO of AMC Entertainment, Adam Aron, published a poll on Twitter asking the crypto community whether his company should accept payments in Shiba Inu (SHIB.)

“As you know, you can now purchase AMC gift cards using cryptocurrency, and our IT group is writing code so that soon we can accept online payments in bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, and dogecoin among others. Should we strive to take shiba inu too?,” Aron tweeted.

Aron held a vote for whether his company should accept Doge in September, with the meme cryptocurrency winning. Aron tweeted after the voting process was finished: “So Fascinating! Dogecoin Poll was by far my highest-ever-read tweet. In 24 hours, 4.2 million views, my most ever retweets, most ever replies. 140,000 votes 77% yes 23% no.”

The AMC CEO also stated in September that the popular theatre chain would begin accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash “for online ticket and concession payments by year-end 2021.” Earlier this month, AMC began accepting payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash through the Bitpay website and app. To buy a gift card, users are required to install either the Bitpay browser extension and use the Bitpay Wallet or download the mobile Bitpay app. It seems like Shiba Inu will soon be accepted for gift cards as well.

Bitcoin is currently trading at [FIAT: $61,662.85] DOWN -0.0% in the last 24 hours according to Coingecko at the time of this report.
