C. Ecosystem Development

We are excited to announce that IOST is joining Gravity network, a cross-chain oracle, and communication network, as a target chain. IOST will become one of the platforms connected to Gravity, along with Waves, Ethereum, and Tron.

As a result of this integration, users will be able to benefit from the cross-chain compatibility between IOST and all Gravity target chains, gaining access to powerful Web 3.0 solutions, such as inter-chain DeFi (InDeFi).

Prior to the connection of the marketplace with IOST mainnet, the Platinum Egg team is looking for testers from the IOST community to participate. After obtaining an IOST TestNet account, testers are able to access the “Tokenlink” test page to buy and sell game items through iWallet.

Participants as testers in the Japanese community are currently testing to purchase NFT gaming items and characters with IOST tokens in the marketplace and sell items in the NFT market. Based on feedback from the testers, the Platinum Egg team will continue to make improvements to the features and easy-to-use interface as requested by users.

IOST partner node released the “IOST Voting Guide”, which explains the IOST voting mechanism in detail.

In more than a year since the mainnet launch, the IOST development team has maintained an innovative attitude and has updated and optimized its versions on a frequent basis. Olympus v3.4 will be officially released within 1–2 weeks.

This mainnet update is large and incompatible. The new version will include a new token name format, like xigua.btc. After the update, the new token name will be divided into two parts, so the right to use the first part will only be for the owner who has registered the mainnet account on the IOST chain, and the second part can be customized.

In addition, Olympus 3.4 has also upgraded the /getContract/ interface. For newly deployed contracts, it can return the original contract code; the iWallet command-line tool has also been updated and the continuous integration on macOS has been upgraded to Go 1.15.
