JPMorgan HATES YOU! (NFT’s Live on Instagram)

By: Ben Armstrong | August 30, 2022

Meta allows you to show your NFTs on Facebook and Instagram, JP Morgan wants you to sell your crypto, and are Bored Apes and other top NFTs doing a “real world” style show? My name is J-Chains, this is your nightly crypto news wrap-up. Let’s get it.

Meta Makes Moves!

After an announcement back in May, Meta announced that they were testing the functionality for users to showcase their NFTs on top social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook. Now that the testing/trial stage is complete, they announced yesterday that they started giving their users the ability to do post their NFTs on the platforms. This feature is free to use and is available in over 100 countries. For now, Americans will only have this ability on Instagram, but Facebook will be soon to follow. Meta will be supporting NFTS from Ethereum, Polygon and Flow blockchains and you can connect your NFTs from MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase, Rainbow and Dapper Wallets. Now the idea of having an NFT for a profile picture is completely legit and on social media, you can prove you own that NFT on the blockchain. This is very bullish for long-term adoption, and this is the logical first step for the NFT space to take to earn its spot in pop culture. Absolutely hyped on the implications of this story. If you want more information on the latest, most relative news in NFT and Metaverse culture, be sure to slide over to my channel, Meta-money. For now, let’s pass it to Frankie Candles for a market watch!

JP Morgan wants your crypto!

JP Morgan just cannot get their ducks in a row. It’s hard to watch. In May, they had a spokesperson say that Bitcoin’s downfall below its “fair price” has given it a “significant upside” for investors. In June, their goal was to bring “trillions of dollars into DeFi.” Earlier this month, they opened the door to six different crypto funds to private bank clients, four of them were from Greyscale. After all that bullish momentum, now JP Morgan thinks you should Sell your crypto bags. Classic example of “Watch what they do, not what they say.” Most traders I know view this story as a buy signal. Sure, the Fed’s hawkish approach to fight inflation is likely to hurt the markets worse than they are now, and that’s their excuse for saying this, but (sarcastically) does JP Morgan want you to sell out of the goodness of their hearts because they care about your well-being? Or are they trying to get you scared and out of the market so can seize the opportunity you threw the towel in on. Any time a financial powerhouse gives out free financial advice, put yourself inside their twisted game of 5 d chess, and see how long it takes for then to make money off the people who looked to then for help. I wouldn’t trust JPMorgan as far as I could throw them. It’s not wrong to be careful, but if you’re in it for the long haul like we are, one little bear market isn’t going to scare you away. This is DCA time until we unload even more on the accumulation phase. Crypto is the transfer of wealth from the impatient to the patient. They are creating urgency to make you impatient. Don’t sell the bottom…be patient, stack for a few years, and sell the top.

“The real world” in the Metaverse?!?

Now that the Metaverse is in the eyes on the mainstream media after the performance and new award at the MTV, VMA’s, the timing is perfect for the top projects to get all the eyes they can on the prize. Now, “The R3al Metaverse,” a fun new web series that’s a parody on the old MTV show “The Real World,” characters from the bored apes, cool cats, doodles and other blue chip Ethereum NFTs are set to hit the big screen. This was made possible from the tech start-up, “Invisible Universe,” which plans on extending these characters out past the internet into tangible merch like books, toys, games, etc. The direction of the show isn’t just in the hands of the writers and producers either, Fans of the show can purchase a “producer pass NFT” to change the trajectory of the story arc, and even have their own personal NFTs make a cameo. The first episode just dropped today and there will be 2 episodes every week! The project mints on September 7th! Be sure to check it out! Let’s go metaverse! That’s all I got. Have a great night!
