U.S. presidential candidate Kanye West avowed his support for Bitcoiners during a podcast interview with Joe Rogan. He says Bitcoiners “really have a perspective on what the true liberation of America and humanity will be.”

West announced in July that he was running for President of the United States this year late during the primary. In a podcast interview with Joe Rogan, published on Saturday, West confirmed that he is still running for president and made comments about Bitcoin.

“There’s a possibility that I could [win]. It’s actually technically possible for me to win now which would be the best option for America,” he told “Specifically these guys … a lot of tech guys were able to use the new … information highways and create the next frontier of our existence,” he continued.d Rogan. West said that he is on the ballot in 12 states and voters in 17 other states can write him in. “I could possibly win now,” West claimed, stressing that he will “definitely” win in the next presidential election in 2024 affirming that he will run.

When asked about Bitcoin, West described, “Jack Dorsey decentralized Twitter two months before it really hit because he was talking to the Bitcoin guys,” adding:

“Specifically these guys … a lot of tech guys were able to use the new … information highways and create the next frontier of our existence,” West continued.

West, considered as one of the best rappers out there, has previously expressed interest in Bitcoin. During an interview in 2018 with radio personality Charlamagne, West mentioned Bitcoin in reference to Harriet Tubman’s becoming the new face of the $20 bill. “That was the moment that I wanted to use bitcoin when I saw Harriet Tubman on a $20 bill”, Kanye said, pointing out that everyone needs to look forward to the future to inspire progress.

Right after that interview, he tweeted “decentralize,” sparking a huge debate on Twitter, with all the crypto enthusiasts jumping in. However, since then, West has remained relatively silent, related to cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin until now.

Bitcoin is currently trading at [FIAT: $13,019] DOWN -0.8% according to Coingecko at the time of this report.
