A recap of Cartesi’s events at Dubai’s Ethereum event in March.

0*CrZm3abrmcyV4jwi Goodbye, ETH Dubai. Hello, highlights.

No time to rest! After the success of Ethereum Rio, The Blockchain OS headed over to Dubai for the first-ever Ethereum conference in the United Arab Emirates. Created for passionate developers and project contributors looking to dive into all things Ethereum, DeFi, NFTs, and more, alongside hosting a workshop and taking part in insightful panel discussions, Cartesi was also proud to be a founding Diamond Sponsor of Ethereum Dubai.

Known as the crypto city, Dubai is not only filled with beautiful sights and social events but is bursting with innovations related to smart cities, sustainability, and, of course, blockchain. Want to know what The Blockchain OS got up to in Dubai? Check out our highlights:

Hello, Dubai. Welcome to The Blockchain OS.

0*XpR2r57HACVkQKr9 Goodbye, ETH Dubai. Hello, highlights.

Open to developers of all levels, we hosted two sold-out workshop sessions on March 30th to help developers build their first blockchain application in Python with The Blockchain OS. Building on top of the first workshop we hosted at Ethereum Rio, at Ethereum Dubai, we took it up a level, exploring how to take advantage of Cartesi’s power to build DApps that use Machine Learning techniques. Yes, you heard it right, DApps with Machine Learning!

Hello, Layer-2 league and familiar faces.

Ethereum Dubai saw major players in the Layer-2 and side-chain space come together and discuss the future of rollups. Cartesi’s Lead Blockchain Engineer, Felipe, was part of the L2 league to join Optimism, Sway, PolygonHermez (zkEVM) & Syscoin on stage to give insights about the obstacles and difficulties rollups are currently facing. Don’t worry if you missed out, catch the replay here:

And we didn’t stop there. In between the hustle and bustle of events at Ethereum Dubai, we sat down to chat with teams from major projects in the blockchain space and record our conversations to share exclusively with our community. We invited Adrien, Blockchain Developer Advocate, and Jonathan, Solidity Software Engineer, from Ledger, the world’s most popular hardware wallet to chat crypto wallet safety and an upcoming CTSI integration on Ledger Live. Head of Product, Milton also had a brilliant chat with Larry Pang, IoTeX Chief Business Officer on the Internet of Trusted Things (IoTT), and its future on The Blockchain OS.

Curious about what’s around the corner for IoTT? Make sure to watch the video:

Hello, makers and mavericks.

Best of all, we loved connecting with developers, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and people from all backgrounds on the floor of Ethereum Dubai. Our dazzling booth design drew in many curious minds and from introducing The Blockchain OS or diving deep into our tech, we were swept off our feet by the number of visitors to our booth. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun and there certainly wasn’t a quiet moment to be had.

…that’s a wrap for Ethereum Dubai 2022! If you want to see all the fun in action, check out our quick video recap:

Hello, tech talks

Remote work is amazing but to have some of our top contributors working on Cartesi tech face to face in one room and talking about building The Blockchain OS is even better! We recorded some of these conversations in Dubai for the community to watch — stay tuned to see these over the coming weeks…
