Alabama Residents can Now Trade in Binance US
According to an official blog post on 13 September 2020, users in Alabama can now deposit and withdraw cryptocurrencies before starting to trade.
Although the platform has accepted account registrations and deposits/withdrawals of cryptocurrencies, its services have not yet covered all of the US markets.
The platform was previously available for residents of most states, excluding the following: Alabama, Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Vermont, and Washington. However, Florida was also given green light at the end of August.
Bringing Crypto to US Residents
The growing list of cryptocurrency that Binance US support includes Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Binance Coin (BNB), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), and Ripple (XRP).
The users’ digital assets will be stored in Binance US wallets only, as Binance US operates as a separate entity from Binance. Depositing fiat and digital assets on Binance US requires a user’s account verification level.
Customers’ digital assets stored on other trading platforms are not automatically transferred to Binance US. Transferring a cryptocurrency from other wallets requires the customers to use the deposit address on the Binance US account as the destination address.
The user can either copy the address or scan the appropriate QR deposit code when selecting the desired crypto.
