Binance Crypto Card is Ready for Launch in Europe and Uk
Paying for Goods and Services with Crypto
Binance has been determined to provide its users with a way to use their crypto on their daily lives by acting as Fiat Gateway.
The launch of this debit card will prove to facilitate the use of crypto in everyday scenarios and facilitate the mass adoption of crypto, as the difficulties on its daily use are one of the barriers new users find.
The card was announced back on April 1 of 2020 as a means to “shop and pay with crypto anywhere in the world” as a virtual card which would be then available in physical form, expanding its possible uses.
Now, Binance has announced in its blog about the launch of its physical card in Europe and the United Kingdom where it will allow users to pay using their BTC, BNB, SXP, and BUSD without the need to convert their crypto to fiat currencies manually beforehand.
Binance Card is Different to Other Crypto Cards
The card is powered by Swipe, a recent acquisition of Binance, and allows digital assets to remain in their native form until the moment of the payment where the conversion will be completed automatically and only for the value required, which is different from other crypto cards.
Users will have complete control over the limits for the card as they will need to recharge it using their spot wallet, being able to select which cryptocurrency to debit upon payment which will then be used for frictionless payments that work as any fiat-backed card.
“By providing a tangible way to transact, convert, and spend crypto for everyday use, we are furthering our mission of making crypto more accessible to the masses”, said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.
Binance is planning on rolling out the card in other regions in the future but for now, European users will be able to apply for their cards from August 2020.
